Why did you stop playing?
If you have stopped all together or are/were on a break (how long was it) tell us some of your reasons why you haven't been hooked like a wow player for the last 6 years....if you have been...tell us why you haven't taken a break.

I take regular breaks and then come back. Generally it's due to something called "real life commitments".

Haven't stopped, but I'm stopping now. Just too hard to find 7+ other like-minded people to play pvp with.
Take care guru.

My regular group moved on.
However, I should be back this weekend (gotta get that celestial dragon!).

LOTRO. but it could have been any other MMO really.
I've done what I wanted to do, plus the fact the they have been teasing us for YEARS! I got to the point where I simply didn't care about any new information regarding GW2, I just wanted a start date. Right now I couldn't care if GW2 never comes out.

I log occasionally, but not only for events.
Skyrim is a good part of the reason, also I reached my goal of 40/50 in HoM.

I stopped playing around 1.5 years ago due to waning interest and a feeling of the game becoming stagnant. Fast forward through that hiatus and I have returned due to my desire to fulfill as much as my Hall as possible, the inclusion of new features and updates, and just wanting to return to a game that I adored since I began way back in 2006. In some rediculously bizarre way, I almost feel like GW is like a child to me that I just cannot abandon after investing so much time and devotion to it, but that will change once GW 2 eventually rolls around since it's sort of like that child growing up. (And that will be my cue to stop typing since this analogy is starting to sound really odd)

I tend to go through phases with MMO as a genre.Played GW and CoH pretty much exclusively for over a year and then went back to offline gaming, especially last year when so many good offline single player games came out.
Have to agree with others that the stagnation played a large part but I think that's true of any game you go OTT on, like music really. The same CD gets pretty old hat after a few hundred plays, except Metallica's Master of Puppets of course :P
I've also found on returning that most are GrindWaring HoM or titles (vanqing does my head in) and most guilds are chasing faction.I prefer to just run around helping new players than play the work simulator many people have turned this game into.
Each to their own.

Been playing since May '05. Took a 9 month break last year to play WoW. Did what I wanted to accomplish there. Came back to GW. Liberally sprinkle my game-time with other games, just as I did when I played WoW.
GW is home and it's where I always come back to.

I have been playing RIFT since it's release, but check in to GW almost everyday to see what guildies have been on. I do partake of most the special events (no Wintersday last time}. As Kmara said, GW is home.

Reasons = Skyrim (modded the hell out of it and it looks amazing), BF3 (I'm a noob). MW3, played that till the wee small (co-op, me and my bro played for 8 hours straight)
I still play, but other games are more fun atm. Mainly because like I said on another post, I've done it all in GW's and happy to have. I do find it difficult to not log in every now and then tho!

All my friends stopped playing, my guild died, 50/50 within 2days of HoM calc, Repetition, Repetition, Repetition, Griiiiiinnnnnddddd, my graphics card has mental meltdowns if u play anything directX-y, i can troll fresh meat on chatango rather then the same ppl everyday on gw.
i also check in during events long enough to buy a hat or work on luck titles, other then that ill just wait for GW2 while i die slowly on the inside.
